Extension Curriculum · 25 Modules
Nail Extension Content
Twenty-five modules. No extension technique left out — Polygel, Sculpting Foam, Structure Gel, Silicon Tip Base, No-Glue Extension, and the full range of Toe treatments.
Structure of the natural nail — nail plate, nail bed, matrix, cuticle, hyponychium, lateral folds. Nail growth cycles, conditions affecting growth, and how each structural element informs safe extension application.
Skin layers, moisture barriers, common skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis) that affect nail work. Consultation protocols and safe working guidelines.
The precision cuticle technique using an electric file. Correct bit selection, RPM settings, dry manicure methodology, cuticle vs. skin identification, and the correct order of operations for a clean professional result.
Precise nail shaping, cuticle care and product application for a structured, salon-ready finish.
Monomer and polymer chemistry, correct bead-to-liquid ratios, form and tip placement, shaping, filing and refinement, apex placement for structural strength, finishing and aftercare.
Hard gel viscosity, self-levelling behaviour, dual-form and foil-form application, curing protocols, layer building for length, tip and form techniques, gel compatibility.
Custom press-on creation — sizing, shaping, surface preparation, adhesive types, application, wear duration optimisation, and damage-free removal.
Quick-set methods for events and shoots — French tips, nail glue application, and correct removal techniques that protect the natural nail.
Dip powder system — base and activator chemistry, dipping technique, layer building, surface refinement, and structural differences from traditional acrylic.
Hybrid gel-acrylic behaviour — when to choose acry-gel, form and tip techniques, filing, and aesthetic finish differences from hard gel and acrylic.
Bottle brush application, thin overlay for natural nail strength, full extension builds, fill techniques, and the growing market demand for BIAB as a natural nail alternative.
Dense thixotropic gel for structural integrity — self-builds apex, corrects nail shape, used over tips and forms. Application sequence, curing depth, compatibility with art gels.
Foam form sculpting — form placement, acrylic or gel over foam base, removing foam cleanly, refining the free edge, unique shapes achievable with this method.
Silicon-tipped forms — more flexible than metal or foil, ideal for curved nail beds. Builder gel application, gentle removal, shaping.
Full-coverage soft gel tips — sizing, surface prep, gel adhesive, pressing and curing, filing to personalise shape and length.
Form-only extension without tip adhesives — pure sculpting skill. Form placement precision, gel or acrylic builds from scratch.
The hybrid that handles like acrylic but cures like gel. Pinching tool technique, brush-and-slip, shaping before and after cure, troubleshooting common errors.
Fill vs. backfill decision, product lifting correction, nail bed prep, zone-one filling without disturbing the smile line, structural integrity over multiple fills.
E-file removal and soak-off removal — when to use each. Acetone concentration, foil wrapping, safe e-file bit and angle for bulk removal without thinning the natural nail.
Extension adapted for toes — curved and uneven nail beds, correct product choice, shorter free edge discipline, client comfort.
Acrylic overlay on natural toe nails for strength and aesthetics without added length. Thin application, filing, finishing, aftercare.
Builder gel on toes — strength benefits with a softer aesthetic finish. Thin self-levelling application and curing.
Sculpting foam adapted for toes — short free edges, curved nail beds, builder gel finish.
Polygel on toes — handling the shorter and varied shapes of toe nails while maintaining structural integrity.
Ombre blending at the extension stage — built into the acrylic structure itself. Two-colour beads, blending timing, seamless gradient.

Common Questions
Before you enroll
Each session is hands-on from the start. The first part of each day covers the theory and technique demonstration — you watch closely while the instructor works on a hand. The second part is supervised practice on your own hand or a practice hand. Instructors are with you throughout, correcting posture, pressure, and technique in real time. No session ends without you attempting the technique yourself.
We keep batch sizes intentionally small — typically 4 to 8 students — so every student receives individual attention from the instructor. You are never watching from the back of a large class.
You ask, and we stop and go through it again. There is no 'too slow' at Luxtique. Additionally, students get post-course support access — you can send photos or videos of your practice work after the course ends and receive feedback.
Yes — and it's particularly valuable for artists who have self-taught or taken shorter courses, because it fills every technical gap, adds 25 extension modules, and adds 16 exclusive techniques you almost certainly haven't encountered. It also resets your pricing ceiling entirely.
Three things: the depth of content (25 extension modules, 80+ techniques), the Master-exclusive techniques (Mandala, 3D/5D Acrylic, Stained Glass, Air Brush Ombre — techniques clients pay ₹3,000–₹6,000+ for), and the business guidance included. Most graduates recover the investment within 6–8 weeks of active work.
